Jay Rowe has over 20 years of Catering, Event Planning and Fine Dining experience.

Jay grew up in rural Georgetown County, South Carolina where weddings ranked high among the social events of the community. After graduating from Clemson University, he worked with the South Carolina and Georgia Farm Bureaus as a program coordinator and meeting planner.

His restaurant, catering and wedding planning talents were refined at two historic Inns in South Carolina, the AAA 4 Diamond rated Beaufort Inn and the beautiful 760 acre Litchfield Plantation in Pawleys Island.  Jay’s leadership and dedication to the wedding industry while working at the Carriage House Club contributed much to the national recognition and success of weddings on the Grand Strand’s prestigious South End.

For the past 6 years, he has been a professor of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Myrtle Beach.  In 2006, he was named The Hospitality Educator of the Year by the Hospitality Association of South Carolina. Jay’s work in the wedding industry helps keep him close to the members of the hospitality community and provides for excellent examples to share with his students.

Jay’s “Business Etiquette” column appears monthly in Coastal Business Life magazine; and he is a recognized speaker on dining, business and wedding etiquette. In his “free” time, Jay enjoys traveling and collecting antiques.
